We're rerouting Midland Trail near the third trestle to make it more sustainable & enjoyable for all users.

About the event
We'll meet at Shield's Gulch Trailhead (CR 315; 38.837333, -106.027671).
The work site is ~2 miles from the trailhead, so be sure to wear good shoes for hiking, work gloves, & bring plenty of snacks & water. Lunch will be provided by Sorelle Delicatessen!
Directions to Shield's Gulch TH (the turn off of US 285 can be easy to miss)
From the light at US 24 & 285, head west through Johnson Village ~5.5 miles.
Turn left onto CR 315. This turn is a bit hidden by a guard rail & it can be hard to see the entrance to 315. This turn is just past the 2-lane passing section of US 285.
Follow CR 315 for ~.25 mile to the Shield's Gulch TH. The lower section of the road is a little rocky, but is passable for most passenger vehicles. Low riders not recommended.
